Subsequent to further discussion at the University level on online examination, HKU ITS has provided the Faculty with supplementary information on how an online examination would look like on Moodle (please see attached PPT). Limitations on using online examination on Moodle are also mentioned in the slides. This may assist individual teachers to decide whether or not they would wish to conduct an online examination via Moodle as part of the course assessments.
While some proctored first semester examinations will be converted to alternative tasks, some teachers may still prefer to schedule an online examination on Moodle. In order for HKU ITS and the Examination Office to have a better preparation, the Faculty has been asked, by November 30, to provide a list of courses which will eventually opt for a scheduled online examination on Moodle. I should be most grateful if you could advise your plan, via your respective Departmental Offices, by completing the attached excel table
