Message from Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning
Dear colleagues,
Gaining mid-course, formative feedback on your course design and teaching can help teachers build on what is working well and provide the opportunity to make timely adjustments. As colleagues move from online to dual-mode, you may wish to run a quick Semester 1 mid-course evaluation of your online components thus far. We have created a short, qualitative feedback form as a new “Mid-course evaluation” function on HKU Moodle for your personal use. To create a feedback activity, choose the template “Mid-course formative feedback” (see Quick User Guide: https://moodle-support.hku.hk/mid-course-formative-feedback-user-guide). For technical support, please email: elearningteam@hku.hk.
Other approaches to evaluating online courses can be found on CETL’s “Designing Online Courses” webpage: https://www.cetl.hku.hk/designolc/tips/continuous-evaluation-of-online-courses/
Best wishes
