Study Tips for Online Learning
In a recent AAO workshop for new students, over half of the participants indicated that they lacked confidence in handling online learning. Should you find similar anxiety among your advisees/students, share this resource with them. It contains practical ideas collected from senior students on learning tips for online classes, preparation tips for online presentation and assessments, and revision tips for online exams.
Academic Advising Forum @ Moodle
This newly launched discussion forum on Moodle enables exchanges among all undergraduate students on study matters throughout their university journey. Students could raise their questions freely and find useful information through the sharing of Student Advisers, AAO Friends (student ambassadors) and AAO Advisers.
Advices on Pass/Fail Grading Option Impact
Many students are confused about the special assessment choice of pass/fail grading. In this resource, AAO highlighted the impact of this grading option on Common Core special proviso and applications to exchange, scholarships, jobs, internships and postgraduate study.
GPA Calculation with Pass/Fail Grading Option
AAO received many student enquiries about how the pass/fail grading option affects their GPA. With the AAO GPA Calculator, students can estimate their CGPA and SGPA, and plan ahead for their assessment choices with the best option.
